What is the main goal of any political party as they state it? You would think it is to ensure the election of the most capable person that best reflects the values of their registered voters. Wouldn't that make sense? What you would never expect is for them to worry about being a social club. If you are a candidate in either of the two major political party's however, you are about to get a dose of reality. If you are a voter, you are about to get a larger dose and begin to understand why non-partisan organizations such as iCaucus exist.
Here is the reality, to gain the support of the political party at any stage of the election cycle, has absolutely nothing to do with whether you are the most capable or meet the stated platform of the Party. It has everything to do with who you know (cronyism at it's best), whether you are an incumbent who sets aside the will of the People for the will of the Party, and money. Money that you have or are capable of raising before running, during the campaign, and after elected, for the Party. As a voter, why do you think all of these Representatives ignored the cries of the citizens of this Nation and voted for all the legislation since 2008 that the majority of Americans were against?
I have heard Party officials in both Party's referred to as "King Makers". This means if you have their blessing to campaign for a particular seat, you will have support and if not, they will actively campaign against you even if it violates their own by-laws. They will even go so far as to promote their support of an opponent from a different party or break the law. Our members and affiliate group members have seen both of those situations happen across this Nation. If you, as a candidae, manage through the support of the people to accomplish the unpardonable sin of winning against their chosen candidate, here is what you have to look forward to, no support. That means no financial assistance from the Party, no assistance with volunteers, no opposition to your opponent from the opposing party, no campaigning, nothing on your behalf. You will be lucky if they reluctantly give you a tacit endorsement as the Party candidate. They will starve the campaign. This is currently happening in at least three states that have reported back so far to iCaucus.
The excuses will begin to come in as, "the funds we have need to go to pay for speakers for events" and "we are not focusing on those positions at this time, we are only worried about the Presidential race and maybe Governor races". Keep thinking along those lines, because I am sure there are many more where that comes from. Is it any wonder over half of the American people feel disenfranchised with their Party or that some states have seen a mass exodus of voters from the two major political party's? It is time We The People choose. Join us at iCaucus and make the difference. Quit relying on your Party to make the right decisions. It is time we STAND. If you know a candidate who needs assistance, please help them spread the word. If you are an iCaucus member or affiliate member do not stand by and do nothing. Spend a short time each day and donate to them if you can. You Party is not going to assist them. It is up to each one of us to start sending the message to the Establishment. Our Country needs US, not them.

Sometimes we just have to compromise or everything will be lost. If we have four more years of Obama and his administration, we may not know our country in 2016. We can still work at getting as many Constitutionall y conservative candidates as possible elected for the Senate, the House, and our state and local offices.
We can let those who are elected know loud and clear what we want. We can support our best candidates and try to move them up until someday one of them is running for President.
